The conducting of controlled medical trials has given rise to serious thought about the nature of statistical inference. These trials, in preventive or clinical medicine seemed to, provide a straightforward application of which to as difficult a subject as medicine was more noteworthy than any subtleties of statistical design or analysis. Yet they have continued to stimulate theoretical study and controversy.

In this study, the main ideas of data-dependent allocation is used, by which a majority of patients will tend to be assigned to the better treatment, and a decision-theoretic approach to the optimal allocation of treatment for a large 'horizon', so that the theory and practice of sequential medical trials can be observed.

The word placebo comes from the Latin verb “placere,” that means, “to please.” Placebo is an inactive treatment. Placebo effect is the effect on a subject (usually beneficial) resulting from the administration of a placebo. When a patient receives any treatment (whether it is an active treatment or not) there may be a beneficial effect experienced by the patient because there is an expectation of benefit.

This research was conducted with the aim to study clinical trial of human fetal transplantation in Parkinson’s disease. Around 30% improvement in the placebo control patients were observed in the double-blind trial of porcine mesencephalic tissue in Parkinson’s patients.

Continuing medical education (CME) program directors should determine what physicians need to learn, should reach out to nonparticipating physicians, and should focus on relevant problem areas. These problem areas should be ones in which it is possible to make changes, particularly in patients’ health care outcomes. Effective change strategies included reminders, patient-mediated interventions, outreach visits, opinion leaders, and multifaceted activities. Audit with feedback and educational materials were less effective, and formal CME conferences or activities, without enabling or practice-reinforcing strategies, had relatively little impact.

In this article, CME delivery methods such as conferences have little direct impact on improving professional practice. More effective methods such as systematic practice-based interventions should also be utilized.

A literature review was conducted to determine what problems exist in accruing adequate numbers of patients for clinical trials. Accrual rates are often not clearly reported, and most studies report that the time period for accrual was extended. Delays in recruitment have an impact on costs and workload throughout the trial. Other problems with the recruitment outcomes include miscalculations in the number of eligible participants in the total population, variations in yield from different types of recruitment sources, and level of community awareness.

In this paper, a systematic study is conducted to determine controlled clinical trials for bibliographic annotations and literature summary.

The goal of this study was to evaluate quality of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of CAM interventions for specific diagnoses to inform clinical decision making. Methods: MEDLINE and related databases were searched for CAM RCTs. Visual review was done of bibliographies, meta-analyses, and CAM journals. However, alternative medicine comprises a large and heterogeneous group of treatments, many of which are procedures that are not readily testable under blinded conditions and for which the choice of appropriate control conditions is by no means straightforward.

Furthermore, alternative medicine therapies may also possess a theoretical basis, may stem from a cultural tradition that is seemingly antithetical to a quantitative, biomedical framework.

Renewable energy sector has sparked great interest from governments over the last decade towards diminution of world’s dependency to fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions reduction and global warming mitigation. Renewable energy also holds a significant role in the transition to sustainable energy systems.

A systematic approach was designed with the help of various stakeholders from the specific energy domain and an investigation was conducted in order to find the main influencing dynamics in renewable energy sector development and its economic potential. The outcome of this analysis reveals that the development of the renewable energy sector is mainly affected by economic and political factors.
